Key Learning Skills and How to Strengthen Them

We identify the most common problems encountered by pupils who have learning disabilities in developing specific skills.

Many young people who encounter difficulties in one area have strengths in another and may find learning easier if their strengths are utilised.

In doing so we seek to give learners as many opportunities as possible to transfer and generalised the skills they learn in order to ensure that the skills remain in their longer-term memory and are adapt learning activities depending on;

+Pupils' age and level of maturity,
+Pupils' level of ability,
+Pupils' preferred learning style,
+The level of adult support they need and,
+The type of resources needed to support them.
